Manchester City have confirmed Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu has left the club to join Stromsgodset in Norway.

The 22-year-old Ghana international joined City in 2010 but has been out on loan almost ever since, including two spells with his new permanent team.

He played 35 times in his first spell in Norway before a brief stint with German side Eintracht Frankfurt, where he failed to make an appearance.

Since scoring twice for Stromsgodset in 11 appearances in 2012, Abu has continued his travels to Spain with Rayo Vallecano, France with FC Lorient and most recently Danish side AGF Aarhus.
