Wenceslas Lauret: Called up ahead of clash with Wales in Cardiff

France have called Racing Metro flanker Wenceslas Lauret into their Six Nations squad ahead of Friday's clash with Wales in Cardiff.

Lauret comes into the 30-man squad as an injury replacement for club team-mate Luc Ducalcon, who hurt his back in Saturday's win over Bayonne.

Philippe Saint-Andre's choice to call up a back-row forward to replace a prop means that France are left with just one specialist tighthead in the squad, Nicolas Mas.

The news comes just a day after uncapped Castres hooker Brice Mach was called up to replace Benjamin Kayser, who has been ruled out of the championship.

France squad:

Forwards (17): Thomas Domingo (Clermont), Yannick Forestier (Castres), Brice Mach (Castres), Dimitri Szarzewski (Racing-Métro 92), Vincent Debaty (Clermont), Nicolas Mas (Montpellier), Alexandre Flanquart (Stade Français), Yoann Maestri (Stade Toulousain), Pascal Papé (Stade Français), Sébastien Vaahamahina (Perpignan), Virgile Bruni (Toulon), Ibrahim Diarra (Castres), Alexandre Lapandry (Clermont), Wenceslas Lauret (Racing-Métro 92), Yannick Nyanga (Stade Toulousain), Damien Chouly (Clermont), Louis Picamoles (Stade Toulousain)

Backs (13): Jean-Marc Doussain (Stade Toulousain), Maxime Machenaud (Racing-Métro 92), Jules Plisson (Stade Français), Rémi Talès (Stade Français), Mathieu Bastareaud (Toulon), Gaël Fickou (Stade Toulousain), Wesley Fofana (Clermont), Maxime Mermoz (Toulon), Marc Andreu ((Racing-Métro 92), Yoann Huget (Stade Toulousain), Maxime Médard (Toulouse), Hugo Bonneval (Stade Français), Brice Dulin (Castres)
