Jonny May: Fit for Calcutta Cup clash despite nasty nose injury
England have confirmed Jonny May will be available for selection for Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash with Scotland at Murrayfield.
Gloucester winger May lasted only eight minutes of the Six Nations opener against France last Saturday after breaking his nose.
May saw a specialist on Monday to review the results of a scan on the injury and he has now been passed fit to feature in Stuart Lancaster's squad, and potentially his starting XV.
"Following a scan review and a specialist assessment, which confirmed an undisplaced fracture of his nose, Jonny will be available for selection," a statement from the Rugby Football Union read.
Courtney Lawes also suffered a facial injury in Paris but he will be available to face the Scots, who also lost their opening game of the tournament to Ireland on Sunday.
May's Gloucester team-mate Freddie Burns has been added to the squad after a couple of outings for the Saxons.
