Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Peterborough midfielder Lee Tomlin.

The 24-year-old attack-minded player has long been linked with a move higher up the Football League ladder, and now he has got his switch.

Boro have completed an initial loan deal that will become permanent, and he leaves Peterborough after four years at London Road.

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony confirmed the deal via his Twitter account.

"Gutted to say Lee Tomlin has left on loan to permanent deal to @Boro in large transfer deal for all concerned. We wish him well!" said MacAnthony.
