Hughes: No offers for McKay

Sky Bet

Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Hughes insists there have been no offers for highly-rated striker Billy McKay.

A number of clubs are reportedly tracking the Northern Ireland international but Hughes is a adamant only a 'big money offer' would be considered.

McKay tops the Scottish Premiership scoring table with 14 this season and Hughes is hopeful he can continue in the same vein over the next few weeks, despite the increased attention those goals will bring.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: "The interest in Billy is because he is scoring goals and that's the way we want it to continue. It's good for our club and the ball is in our court.

"He is a real talent and he is contracted to the club for a number of years. I don't want to add to any speculation but at the moment no-one has come in for him.

"Billy is such a level headed, humble kid who enjoys his football and hopefully this will not affect him. Hopefully he will score many more goals from now until the end of the season."

Check out if McKay can add to his tally when Inverness entertain Dundee United live on Sky Sports 3 from 12.30pm this Sunday
