Mike Phillips could make his Racing Metro debut in Saturday's Heineken Cup encounter with Harlequins.

The Wales scrum-half is eligible to play for his new club after they added him as an additional player to their squad.

Phillips, who didn't play in Europe this season with previous club Bayonne, is likely to feature in Saturday's match, which is being played at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

Phillips was dismissed by Racing's Top 14 rival Bayonne in October for allegedly being drunk when he turned up for a video analysis session.

He vehemently denied the accusations and has since launched legal proceedings against the Basque club.

Racing have also added former Northampton tighthead Brian Mujati as an additional player.

The Top 14 club sit second in Pool 4, having beaten Clermont Auvergne and drawn with the Scarlets in their opening two fixtures.
