Wolves goalkeeper Aaron McCarey has signed a new contract and immediately gone out on loan to League Two side York.
McCarey, a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, has provided back-up to first-choice stopper Carl Ikeme this season and has been rewarded for his promise with a new two-and-a-half-year deal at Molineux which runs until the summer of 2016. And, having enjoyed a loan spell with Walsall last term, he will now get the chance of further experience and regular first-team football having linked up with York until January 4. McCarey could make his Minstermen debut in Saturday's League Two clash at home to Rochdale, while fit-again keeper Wayne Hennessey is expected to return to the Wanderers bench as cover for Ikeme as Kenny Jackett's side head to Peterborough.
