Alex Cuthbert says he cannot wait to renew acquaintances with Australia at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

The 23-year-old has been restored to the Wales starting line-up after recovering from a hairline fracture to his ankle.

Cuthbert scored a try in the British and Irish Lions' first Test victory over the Wallabies last June, and he is relishing returning to action after missing Wales' autumn outings against South Africa, Argentina and Tonga.

The Cardiff Blues wing said: "The adrenalin and playing in that stadium is all I have been thinking about, getting back out there with the guys, playing against one of the best teams in the world on that pitch and putting in a performance for myself, the fans and my family."

"There has been no mention of the Lions by us, and I am pretty sure the Australians haven't mentioned it either."
Warren Gatland

Cuthbert have tasted victory over Australia in a Lions shirt but Wales have suffered eight successive defeats against the green and gold.

"Australia are a completely different side to what we met in the summer," said Wales coach Warren Gatland, who led the Lions to victory Down Under.

"There has been no mention of the Lions by us, and I am pretty sure the Australians haven't mentioned it either.

"There are a lot of key players for them who have been regulars who aren't playing on Saturday - the likes of (Berrick) Barnes, (James) O'Connor and (Digby) Ioane, and one or two others as well - so it is quite different to what we've faced in the past.

"They made a number of changes against Scotland and were good enough to win, and they were excellent against Ireland the previous week.

"We know it is going to be tough, and hopefully both sides are going to go with the attitude of trying to play some quality rugby."
