Shane Watson: Injury concern for Australia

Australia are sweating on the fitness of all-rounder Shane Watson with just a few weeks until the first Ashes Test.

Watson suffered a hamstring injury during the final one-day international with India.

He aborted his run-up whilst bowling in Bangalore, but he did bat - albeit at No 8 - scoring a brilliant 49 off 22 balls including a hat-trick of sixes.

The player is now expected to undergo further assessment with the opening Ashes Test against England getting under way in Brisbane on November 21.

Watch the Ashes live on Sky Sports this winter, beginning with the opening Test at the Gabba. Coverage begins at 11pm on Sky Sports 2 HD on 20 November.
