Leicester Tigers centre Anthony Allen has been ruled out for up to three months with a leg injury.

Allen had surgery on the injury but scans and tests have proved it to be more serious than was first thought.

The centre, who was widely tipped for an England recall, is now set to miss all Leicester's Heineken Cup Pool Five campaign.

The Tigers, who lost their Heineken Cup opener against Ulster in Belfast, are also missing Manu Tuilagi, Tom Croft, Steve Mafi, Mat Tait, Marcos Ayerza, and Matt Smith.
