England batsman Joe Root admits England could gain an advantage from Australia's busy schedule ahead of the winter's Ashes series.
Alastair Cook's team fly to Australia next week ahead of the five-Test series, with some of the home side's players still in India for the ongoing one-day international series.
And Root believes England will be fully prepared come the first Test in Brisbane on 21 November.
"If anything it might give us a slight advantage," Root told Sky Sports News. "We are concentrating on our own preparation and making sure we are ready for the series.
"They are a very good side, especially at home, so we're going to have to play some very good cricket, but all the lads are looking forward to getting out there and making it a really good series."
Root enjoyed a successful introduction to Ashes cricket this summer, scoring 339 runs after being promoted to open the batting alongside Cook as England sealed a 3-0 series win to retain the urn.
"It was an exciting experience, I loved minute of it," he said. "It's something I dreamt of doing when I was a young boy. I'll treasure the experience for a long time.
"Nice to know I contributed and I'll take that forward into the winter. We'll make sure we're ready."
