Centre Matt Scott will make his first competitive start of the season, having recovered from the ankle injury he sustained during the off-season.
He will begin the match alongside Nick De Luca, who missed last week's chance to reinstate their partnership because of a shoulder injury.
Up front Grant Gilchrist comes into the second-row in place of the injured Izak van der Westhuizen (shoulder), and newly signed South African, Cornell Du Preez, makes his first start in the back-row in place of Tomas Leonardi.
Meanwhile, Munster's most notable absentee from their line-up is captain Peter O'Mahony.
O'Mahony has been integrated back in to training this week following on from his half-time replacement appearance against Leinster last Saturday but is going to be carefully eased back into action.
Paul O'Connell will subsequently captain the side when they run out at Murrayfield on Saturday.
With O'Mahony ruled out there is one change to the pack that defeated Leinster last weekend with Paddy Butler coming into the squad and making his first Heineken Cup start this Saturday, as he joins Niall Ronan and James Coughlan in the back-row.
There is one change to the back-line also with Conor Murray moving into the starting XV and Duncan Williams named in the replacements.
