Castleford Tigers have announced Rangi Chase is to leave to join an unnamed club after agreeing terms on a deal.

Salford have been linked with the New Zealand-born England international and City Reds owner Marwan Koumash has confirmed they will be holding a media conference on Thursday.

The Tigers have not been drawn on where Chase is moving to but they did reveal they would soon be signing new players themselves.

"Castleford Tigers can confirm that terms have been agreed with an unnamed club for the transfer of Rangi Chase," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Chase has also agreed personal terms with the club and will be presented by them in the near future.

"We can also confirm that we will soon be announcing more signings for next season following the earlier announcements that Frankie Mariano and Ashley Gibson will be joining Castleford Tigers in 2014."
