Ben McCalman: Returns to the Australia squad after two years
Western Force forward Ben McCalman is relishing his return to the Australia set-up after it was confirmed he would be in the match-day squad.
The Wallabies are not due to confirm their line-up until Thursday, however it has already been revealed that the 25-year-old will play some part in 'The Decider' against the British and Irish Lions in Sydney.
McCalman's last appearance in the gold and green jersey came against Wales in 2011 - and he can't wait to appear on the international stage again.
"It's a very big occasion, everyone will be watching in Australia and around the world and it's one I'm very much looking forward to," said McCalman, who has been capped 21 times.
"I'm very excited, it'll be my first game since Wales 2011. Having missed last year with a few injuries, I'm very excited to be back."
McCalman looks set to get chance, with the Australia expecting a bruising forwards battle at the ANZ Stadium.
"I think the last two games have shown that it's going to be a forwards orientated game," said McCalman.
"But it's very important for the backs to be strong at the breakdown as well.
"They obviously see themselves having a strong maul and view that as not our strongest area but we feel that is a very strong area for us.
"We'll just have to adapt our game a bit, we'll have to wait and see."
