Leeds Rhinos produced a blistering first-half display on the way to a 52-36 victory against Widnes at the Stobart Stadium.
Liam Sutcliffe, Joel Moon and Rob Burrow each notched a brace as the Rhinos ran up their highest score of the season, while Widnes skipper Kevin Brown scored a hat-trick of tries in a losing cause.
Leeds romped into a 38-6 interval lead and further showed their dominance to stretch the lead to 52-18 before the home side made the scoreline more respectable.
The Rhinos, who had lost five of their previous seven games, welcomed back Moon from suspension and Kallum Watkins from injury but were still missing skipper Kevin Sinfield, Danny McGuire, Stevie Ward, Kylie Leuluai, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Brett Delaney, Ryan Bailey and Joe Vickery.
A handling error by Gareth Hock allowed Leeds to go in front after seven minutes with Moon taking Carl Ablett's pass to surge over and Zak Hardaker kicked the conversion.
Hardaker set up the second try after 12 minutes with a burst from near his own line to sweep past Cameron Phelps and three other defenders for Watkins to send the supporting Sutcliffe over to make it 12-0.
Moon claimed his second try after smart handling by Sutcliffe and Hardaker converted to stretch the lead to 16-0 midway through the first half before another missed tackle by Phelps on Sutcliffe allowed Burrow to scamper over with Hardaker again adding the conversion.
Leeds were in dominant mood and capitalised on a Ben Kavanagh handling error for Sutcliffe to notch his second try after 23 minutes.
Widnes had a Kevin Brown try disallowed for offside and then the stand off lost possession for Ryan Hall to score from Paul McShane's kick and the Rhinos still had time for Hardaker to take a return pass from Sutcliffe to touch down for a seventh try before the interval to make it 38-0.
Brown did manage to dummy his way over on the stroke of half-time for the Vikings' first try.
Leeds took only two minutes of the second half to go further ahead with Sutcliffe and Watkins combining for Ben Jones-Bishop to score in the corner and then Ablett capitalised on another Widnes error to put Burrow clear for his second try and open up a 48-6 lead.
Hock grabbed the Vikings second touchdown from Brown's pass on the hour before Hock returned the favour to send Brown over.
Watkins then scored a comeback try for Leeds to stretch the advantage to 52-18 after 66 minutes.
Brown completed his treble eight minutes from time and Rhys Hanbury went over for the fourth game in a row before Hock added his second.
