Brian Noble: Pleased with Salford's first-half display at The Stoop
Brian Noble hailed his Salford side's first-half performance after they moved off the foot of the Super League table with a 44-30 triumph at London.
The Reds blazed to a 34-6 interval lead at the Stoop before withstanding a Jamie Soward-inspired Broncos rally.
Lee Gaskell ran in three first-half tries for Salford and Noble was delighted with their execution during the opening 40 minutes.
He said: "We have been creating opportunities on a regular basis but not taking them, but today was a different story.
"We know when we are on our game we can score points, and I have known that for some time.
"It has been a while since we have been in the winner's enclosure so I suppose it was understandable that we dropped off a bit.
"We started playing as individuals in the second half instead of a team and we suffered a bit, but when we get our execution right we know we can compete with the bigger teams."
London introduced debutant Soward after just 23 minutes and he made a positive impact, scoring a try and kicking five conversions.
Broncos coach Tony Rea said: "With hindsight it is easy to say we should have played Jamie from the start, but it never pays to look back in this game.
"In my mind it was all about protecting him, and in an ideal world he would have had a good week with the team before playing.
"It is frustrating at the moment as I think just scratching under the surface there is a great performance waiting to happen, and I am sure that performance will come."
