Israel Folau: Set to make his Australia debut
Israel Folau is expected to be one of three new caps in the Australia squad for Saturday's first Test against the British and Irish Lions.
The 24-year-old has made a big impression during his debut season playing union at the Waratahs - with Folau having previously played rugby league and Aussie Rules Football.
And Folau, who has score eight tries in 14 appearances, now looks set to cap a memorable season with a place on the wing at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
Back row Ben Mowen and inside centre Christian Lealiifano are likely to make their debuts alongside Folau, with head coach Robbie Deans set to show his hand in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Folau has spent the majority of his first season at full-back, however Berrick Barnes is set to wear the No 15 jersey, with James O'Connor preferred at fly-half and Adam Ashley-Cooper slotting in at outside centre.
Digby Ioane has been passed fit to start on the wing, while Kurtley Beale will look to make an impact off the bench as he aims to put his off-field issues behind him.
The key issue in the pack had been who would wear the No 7 jersey, with Michael Hooper appearing to have held off the challenge of fellow rising star Liam Gill.
