Australia captain Michael Clarke was ruled out of their Champions Trophy clash with Sri Lanka.

Clarke's back problem is an increasing concern for Australia, with the Ashes now just a few weeks away.

In March Clarke had to leave Australia's tour of India early because of the back injury and he has not played since.

The first Test with England starts on 10 July at Trent Bridge and Australia will be desperate to have their skipper and leading batsman - he has been in sensational form since being given the captaincy - at the helm.

George Bailey continues to lead the one-day side in Clarke's absence.
