Marland Yarde: Two tries on England debut

Marland Yarde is hoping to make the England left wing spot his own after his magnificent debut against Argentina.

Yarde scored two fine tries in England's 51-26 victory over the Pumas with the London Irish star proving he is an exciting prospect.

England coach Stuart Lancaster wants to use specialist wings rather converted full-backs such as Mike Brown, who played on the wing in the Six Nations.

Lancaster will name England's elite squad for the autumn internationals in August and Yarde now appears to have every chance of breaking into the 33-man party.

"There are some great players in my position and all I can do is work as hard as I can and leave it up to Stuart," Yarde said.

"All you can do is focus on yourself, work as hard as you can for the team and leave selection up to the coaches.

"It was fantastic experience. The Argentina fans were awesome and they create a real buzz and atmosphere.

"It was a bit surreal being out there at times but I just had to take into my stride and work as hard as I can for the team."

Yarde skinned two defenders to score his first try down the short side and his second was reminiscent of Chris Ashton at his best, latching onto an inside pass from Kyle Eastmond to finish under the posts.

"I was quite nervous before kick-off as it was my first game for England but as soon as the first kick happened I just took it in my stride and treated it as a normal game," Yarde said.

"I am thankful for the opportunity and I can't wait to do it again."
