Craig Sandercock was a satisfied coach as Hull KR shocked high-flying Huddersfield with a 35-28 Super League victory at Craven Park.

Rovers recovered from 22-10 down and, at one stage, collected 24 unanswered points en route to a famous victory.

Sandercock said: "I am pleased with the performance because the boys worked hard and followed the gameplan.

"But I'm not getting too carried away because Huddersfield had a short turnaround and there were some tired boys from Huddersfield tonight.

"In the second half we played well and we deserved to win. It was pleasing to come back from 12 points down and get the win.

"Travis Burns was outstanding and he was the best player on the field. He's showing signs of getting his game to where it needs to be."

Huddersfield's head coach Paul Anderson added: "Obviously the loss is disappointing and especially the manner of the loss.

"Sometimes in life you get what you deserve and tonight we did. I just think we just robbed ourselves of energy and we keep giving teams ball.

"Fair play to Hull KR, they played better and won. The scoreline tells that.

"It's a tough place to come and any team that comes here and wins, it's a good win. We've chalked plenty of those wins up this year but what we have to do now is respond."
