Alex Gidman: Sticking with Gloucestershire
Alex Gidman has signed a new three-year deal at Gloucestershire that will keep him at the county until the end of the 2016 season.
The 31-year-old all-rounder has been at the County Ground for more than 10 years after breaking into their four-day side in 2003 and toured with England A to Sri Lanka in 2004.
He said: "I am naturally delighted to sign an extension of my contract with the club. I am enjoying playing with our young team and the signs are there of some real talent coming through which is starting to show results.
"My main focus is to contribute to the club winning a trophy in the next few years."
Director of cricket John Bracewell added: "This will go a long way in helping us build a club for the future. It is very important that we retain our best players and mentors going forward."
