Chanaka Welegedara has made the cut for Sri Lanka's 15-man ICC Champions Trophy squad.

The fast bowler has not played one-day international cricket for almost three years but is included for the tournament which begins in England on June 6.

Key batsman Mahela Jayawardene, whose injured finger kept him out of the recent series against Bangladesh, is fit to feature.

But there is no room for any of the five uncapped players named in a provisional 30-man squad last month.

Batsman Upul Tharanga and slow bowler Ajantha Mendis also miss out.

Squad: A Mathews (captain), D Chandimal, T Dilshan, K Perera, K Sangakkara, M Jayawardene, L Thirimanne, J Mendis, T Perera, L Malinga, R Herath, N Kulasekara, S Eranga, S Senanayake, C Welegedara.
