Stuart Broad finished with eight wickets in the match as Nottinghamshire completed a nine-wicket success over Derbyshire for their first win of the season.
England seamer Broad, making his first appearance of the summer, claimed second-innings figures of 4-34 for a match haul of 8-91.
Derbyshire resumed on day four at 143-5 in their second innings, needing another 44 to make the visitors bat again.
After a brief shower held up proceedings, Broad ran through their lower order with the second new ball, taking four wickets in 17 balls, starting with an lbw verdict to send Dan Redfern on his way for 61.
David Wainwright (33) edged behind in Broad's next over, followed one delivery later by Tom Poynton, lbw for a duck.
A further two-hour rain break held up Nottinghamshire but, when play resumed, Broad won a third lbw decision against Tony Palladino (4) and Harry Gurney (3-62) bowled Jonathan Clare (5) to end Derbyshire's second innings at 229.
That left Nottinghamshire to chase a target of 43, which they achieved for the loss of only Alex Hales.
Hales was caught behind off Tom Groenewald for four in the opening over but Ed Cowan (15no) and Michael Lumb (24no) guided Notts home with an unbroken 39-run stand in less than five overs.
Newly promoted Derbyshire have lost two and drawn one of their first three fixture back in the top flight.
