James Faulkner took 5-30 and Shane Watson hit 98 not out as Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in Jaipur.

Left-arm seamer Faulker, named in Australia's Ashes squad earlier this week, helped reduce the Sunrisers to 29-6 after they had opted to bat first.

Darren Sammy hit 60 off 41 balls to get the Sunrisers up to a 144-9 from their 20 overs.

But Watson made a mockery of that target, slamming 13 fours and four sixes in his 53-ball contribution from number three as the Royals got home with 13 deliveries to spare.

The result moves Rajasthan above Hyderabad into third place in the IPL standings on net run-rate.
