South Africa winger JP Pietersen has become the latest high-profile player to opt to play in Japan.

The 26-year-old will make the switch to an unnamed Japanese club at the end of the current Super Rugby campaign, having agreed a two-year deal.

Pietersen, though, will still be available to play for the Sharks in the 2014 Super Rugby competition - with his commitments in Japan ruling him out of Currie Cup action.

Pietersen is also hoping to be available for the Springboks before making the move.
