The Dallas Stars ran riot in the third period to prevent the Vancouver Canucks clinching an NHL play-off spot.
Vancouver led at American Airlines Center through Derek Roy's goal but Vernon Fiddler levelled the scores, before Cody Eakin, Jamie Benn, Ray Whitney and Erik Cole found the target as the the Stars cut loose to win 5-1.
The Winnipeg Jets secured a 4-3 overtime win against the Carolina Hurricanes at MTS Centre, with Dustin Byfuglien settling things to keep his team's play-off hopes alive.
The San Jose Sharks routed the Minnesota Wild 6-1 at HP Pavilion as they took another step forward in their own play-off push, with Logan Couture (2), Martin Havlat (2), Raffi Torres and Joe Pavelski all scoring.

Andy McDonald scored the lone shoot-out goal as the St Louis Blues edged the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1 at Scottrade Center.
