Horse Racing Ireland has announced a replacement meeting at Downpatrick on April 3 after Sunday's meeting was called off due to the waterlogged track.

The fixture was set to feature the Toals Bookmakers Ulster Grand National EBF Handicap Chase but heavy rain meant the track was deemed not fit for action.

The new fixture will close for entries on March 27 with declarations to run to be made by 10am on April 2. The time of the first race will be at 3.35pm.

Full details of the programme of races will be announced early next week.

Gowran is to stage a replacement jumps fixture on April 9 after Saturday's meeting was called off, also as a result of waterlogging.

The Flat card originally scheduled for that day will be transferred to April 8 for the first of what will now be two-day meeting.

Both meetings will close for entries on April 4 and full details of the programme of races for both meetings will be announced later.
