British No 1 Heather Watson has reversed her decision to take a break from tennis.

The 20-year-old was beaten by Ayumi Morita in the first round of the Sony Open in Miami on Tuesday and said after the match she was suffering from "burn out".

The Channel Islander said at the time she would be stripping back her schedule but she has now put her comments down to her emotional state following the defeat.

"Yesterday when I was speaking to the press I was very upset about my match and wasn't really thinking straight. I'm going to carry on with my schedule," said Watson.

"I have Charleston next week and then the Fed Cup after that so everything is going to stay the same.

"After a match, losing a close one like yesterday, I was really disappointed and upset and wasn't thinking properly about what I was saying."
