Darren Dawidiuk has lost his appeal against a six-week suspension for a tip tackle.

The Gloucester hooker was sent off for the challenge on Dave Attwood during his side's Premiership defeat to Bath earlier this month.

Dawidiuk opted to fight his ban, but a panel chaired by Gareth Rees QC upheld the original punishment.

Gloucester will now be without their front row forward until April 22.
