Hull FC star Kirk Yeaman has been ruled out for six weeks because of a broken thumb.

The centre suffered the injury during Friday's 52-0 win over Castleford.

The 29-year-old England international, who has been an ever-present so far this season, damaged his hand diving on a loose ball and underwent surgery on Tuesday morning.

Hull's thumping victory came at a cost, with the injury to Yeaman adding to the suspension handed to second rower Danny Tickle that rules him out of Saturday's game at Huddersfield.

Tickle entered an early guilty plea to punching during the game against the Tigers.

Hooker or half-back Aaron Heremaia is also doubtful for Saturday's match after suffering rib cartilage damage.
