Sebastien Ogier made it back-to-back wins in the World Rally Championship after completing victory in the Rally Mexico.

The Volkswagen driver finished 3 minutes 26.8 seconds ahead of Citroen's Mikko Hirvonen, with Ford driver Thierry Neuville rounding out the top three.

Dani Sordo, who won the final stage of the event, finished in fourth position while former Dakar Rally winner Nasser Al-Attiyah ended up in fifth place.

Ogier took the lead in the middle of the first day and had no trouble defending the advantage over the remaining two legs, winning 16 of the 23 special stages.

The victory extended Ogier's lead in the overall standings to 31 points over Sebastien Loeb, who was absent from the event after he decided to reduce his schedule this year.

Hirvonen occupies third place in the standings but so far he has accumulated just 30 points to Ogier's 74.
