The Chicago Blackhawks continue to go from strength-to-strength after they snatched a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.

Daniel Carcillo netted with 49.3 seconds left in regulation to make it 11 straight wins for the record-breaking Blackhawks.

Jonathan Toews and Andrew Shaw also scored for Chicago before Carcillo knocked in a rebound with a backhand shot after Semyon Varlamov made two in-close stops from Viktor Stalberg.

The Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Ottawa Senators 5-4 as Phil Kessel scored a goal and had two assists.

The Maple Leafs led 3-0 and 5-2 before the Senators scored twice in the final eight minutes.

Saves

Tyler Bozak,James van Riemsdyk, Jay McClement and Nazem Kadri also scored for the winners, while Mika Zibanejad, Zack Smith, Daniel Alfredsson and Colin Greening netted for Ottawa.

Miikka Kiprusoff made 32 saves as he returned from a knee injury to lead the Calgary Flames to a 4-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Blake Comeau scored the tie-breaking goal early in the third period. Jarome Iginla, Roman Cervenka and Curtis Glencross also scored for Calgary as Joe Thornton netted a consolation for the Sharks.

The Anaheim Ducks beat the Phoenix Coyotes 2-0 for a ninth straight home victory as Jonas Hiller faced only 18 shots in his first shutout of the season.

The teams met for the third straight time in a five-day span, following a pair of 5-4 shootout victories by the Coyotes in Phoenix on Saturday and Monday.
