The Bulls may have kicked off their Super Rugby season with victory over the Stormers however the win came at a cost.

Dewald Potgieter, JJ Engelbrecht and Deon Stegmann will all miss Saturday's clash with the Western Force after picking up injuries in the 25-17 win over the Stormers.

Potgieter is also set to miss the game against the Blues, with his knee injury likely to keep him sidelined for a month.

Engelbrecht has a hip problem, while Stegmann is receiving treatment on a hamstring complaint - so their progress will be monitored before a decision is made over their inclusion for the trip to Auckland.

There is some good news for the Bulls, though, with Akona Ndungane and Jacques du Plessis both set to return to training.
