Kevin Sinfield continued his incredible goal-kicking streak for Leeds as the Rhinos hammered Salford 42-14 in the Super League.

The Rhinos skipper converted all seven tries scored by Brian McDermott's men - making it 36 consecutive successful kicks for the champions stretching back to the start of last season's play-offs.

Sinfield helped himself to a touchdown for good measure - taking his personal points tally for the game to 18 - while Joel Moon and Paul McShane both went over twice.

Leeds opened the scoring inside the first five minutes when Marc Sneyd lost possession and Stevie Ward kicked upfield before touching down.

Moon and Kallum Watkins ran in further tries in the first half, before Ashley Gibson replied for the visitors against his former club.

Boosted by that late score, Salford reduced the deficit at the start of the second half with the try of the match as Niall Evalds intercepted Danny McGuire's attempted pass on his own line and charged the length of the field to touch down.

But normal service was quickly resumed as Moon completed a double against his old side before McShane added two tries in quick succession.

Gibson grabbed a consolation for the visitors near the end with his second of the night, but it was fitting that Sinfield should have the final say, converting his own try as Leeds warmed up for next week's World Cup Challenge clash with Melbourne in style.
