Who are you backing to prevail? Real Madrid v Manchester United here.

Skysports.com readers are torn over who will prevail in the greatly anticipated Champions League tie between Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho's men have been marginally better backed in a poll on skysports.com, attracting 53 per cent of the votes to United's 47 per cent.

The tight nature of the content is reflected in Sky Bet's 'To Qualify' market, with Sir Alex Ferguson's men the slight outsiders at 6/5 to secure a place in the final eight.

However, the bookmaker have reported overwhelming support for the Premier League leaders for the first leg, with over three times as many bets being placed on them at 7/2 than their hosts, who are 8/13 to take a lead to Old Trafford.

All eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo as he faces his former club for the first time since moving to the Spanish capital for a world record fee of £80m.

With United's ability to neutralise their former star considered pivotal to their chances of progressing, a range of permutations have been priced up by Sky Bet.

The Portugal frontman is odds-on at 8/11 to score at the Bernabeu and 2/1 not to score over the two legs, while being offered at 7/2 to outscore his former club over the two games.

Sky Bet anticipate that if he does score then respect will be shown, offering 6/5 for him to score and not celebrate, while Jose Mourinho is 12/1 to show no such refrain by sliding on his knees in celebration.

Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "Our punters clearly see United as overpriced at 7/2 to take a first-leg lead in what promises to be the biggest game of the season in betting terms.

"Everybody is expecting a real spectacle at the Bernabeu and we've been inundated with requests for markets, with Ronaldo's first meeting with his former club really capturing the imagination."
