Eoin Morgan: England batsman an injury concern with back problem
England are waiting on the fitness of batsman Eoin Morgan ahead of the second Twenty20 international against New Zealand in Hamilton on Tuesday.
Morgan suffered a jarred back when making a diving stop on the boundary during England's 40-run victory over the Black Caps in the first T20 on Saturday.
The 26-year-old, who had earlier top-scored for the tourists with 46 from 26 balls, was replaced in the field by Joe Root.
Yorkshireman Root is likely to deputise for Morgan in Hamilton if he fails to pass a fitness test on Monday.
For New Zealand, former captain Ross Taylor will be back for his second match since being controversially replaced by Brendon McCullum.
After making himself unavailable for the tour of South Africa over a breakdown of communications with coach Mike Hesson, Taylor returned in Auckland but could make only 13.
"It was certainly good to have him back," said Hesson. "I think 'work in progress' is a good term.
"We're working well together and the longer we do that the better that relationship will be. But it's going to take a while before we're going out for coffee every week."
