Dani Pedrosa: Showing early form
Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa finished top of the timesheets for the third straight day as MotoGP testing concluded at Sepang.
The Spaniard recorded a fastest lap of two minutes, 0.1 seconds to finish ahead of Yamaha duo Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi respectively.
Pedrosa's rookie team-mate Marc Marquez recovered from a high speed crash in the morning to post the fourth quickest time with Britain's Cal Crutchlow fifth on the Tech 3 Yamaha.
Al five riders managed to get below the 2:01 mark as lap times were trimmed for the third straight day at the Malaysian track.
LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl narrowly missed out on that mark but was showing good progress, as did Gresini's Alvaro Bautista and Tech 3 rookie Bradley Smith, who trailed in the German.
And while Ducati pair Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso were ninth and 10th respectively the team will be pleased to have trimmed over a second off their times over the last three days.
There is one more round of testing at Sepang later this month following by a three-day test at Jerez in March ahead of the opening round of the 2013 championship in Qatar on 7 April.
