Sky Sports understands Burnley are looking to offer goalkeeper Lee Grant a new deal to ward off interest from rival clubs.
Grant's current contract expires at the end of the season and the news has alerted a host of clubs to his possible availability on a free transfer in the summer.
The 30-year-old is regarded as one of the best shot-stoppers outside the Premier League and he has impressed for Burnley this term.
Grant has been an ever-present this season after establishing himself as the No.1 at Turf Moor ahead of Brian Jensen.
Several sides are believed to have made enquiries for Grant during last month's transfer window, but the Clarets were determined to keep hold of the custodian.
Burnley are keen to secure Grant's long-term future as the former Derby and Sheffield Wednesday player has established himself as a key member of Sean Dyche's side.
