James Faulkner: Australia paceman celebrates after bowling Chris Gayle
Australia paceman James Faulkner has been fined 10 percent of his match fee after the third one-day international against the West Indies.
Faulkner was punished for shouting abuse at Chris Gayle after dismissing the West Indies batsman for two.
The 22-year-old accepted a charge of "using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an international match" after bowling Gayle in the 38th over of Australia's 39-run win in Canberra.
Match referee Ranjan Madugalle said: "There is no place for this type of behaviour anywhere near the game. The players are expected to respect the opponents all the time.
"In this particular incident, James crossed the line and I'm sure he will learn from this incident."
Faulkner finished the match with figures of 4-48 as Australia took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
