Marek Stech - Yeovil Town
Yeovil's win against in-form Brentford may have seemed comfortable, but the away side could easily have had the lead if it were not for Stech's first-half saves. The former West Ham goalkeeper saved a penalty against the same opponents in August, and his concentration was all the more impressive given that he was waiting news on his partner, who had gone into labour.
Scott Cuthbert - Leyton Orient
Saturday's victory at Stevenage was Orient's first away from home for two months, and came thanks to a clean sheet that was hard-earned by a well-marshalled defence. Despite Stevenage enjoying 68% possession they could only fashion one shot on target, and Cuthbert was a principle reason for this.
Simon Francis - Bournemouth
In truth, Bournemouth never looked troubled by an MK Dons side that were punished doubly by Ryan Lowe's red card tackle. Francis was part of a defence that stopped the Dons having a single shot on target, the first time they have failed to do so this season.
Dan Burn - Yeovil Town
Yeovil looked imperious in defence against Brentford, and defender Burn combined a clean sheet with a well-taken finish, volleying home his side's third and final goal. Burn has now been part of a side that has won five games on the bounce.
Peter Hartley - Hartlepool United
Hartley was one half of the rather appropriate scoring double for Hartlepool on Saturday. The defender nodded home from a free-kick to give the club only their second home win of the season and consecutive victories for the first time this campaign.
Harry Arter - Bournemouth
Arter is a midfielder with a growing reputation, and he put the finishing touches to his side's 3-0 victory over MK Dons with a left-footed strike that arrowed inside the far post from 25 yards. He now has six league goals for the season.
Dean Cox - Leyton Orient
Cox can be utilised as a winger or an attacking midfielder, and the former Brighton player ended a run of 19 league games without a goal by getting the winner at Stevenage. After Cox's initial shot was blocked, he showed great reactions to put home the rebound.
Jamie Paterson - Walsall
The young winger struck twice late on to give his side victory over Oldham, and took both goals impressively. It took his tally to nine, and the midfielder has impressed with his pace and dribbling ability.
Rory Loy - Carlisle United
The Scottish striker scored his first goal since 2011, but manager Greg Abbott revealed that the squad gave Loy a standing ovation after the game following his goalscoring return after 13 months out with a broken leg. The fact that it was the winner away at top of the league Tranmere made it all the more special.
Leon Clarke - Coventry City
The departure of David McGoldrick put the pressure on January signing Clarke to score goals, and the striker netted two close-range efforts in the win at Sheffield United to take his tally to five in six games and take the Sky Blues to within one point of the playoffs.
Freddie Sears - Colchester United
Gavin Massey got many of the plaudits after Colchester's victory over Portsmouth, but it was fellow striker Freddie Sears who was the real star, setting up Massey's first goal with a pinpoint early cross. The striker then scored after being fouled in the box, and later set up Massey again to score the winner.
