Worcester Warriors ended their Amlin Cup campaign on a high with a 71-19 demolition job on Spanish champions Bizkaia Gernika.

Richard Hill's side knew they could not advance from the group stages but still ran in 11 tries against the Spanish side to finish off their campaign in style.

Fly-half Danny Gray converted eight of those tries and scored on himself as he helped himself to a 21-point haul at Sixways.

Perpignan's bonus-point win over Rovigo on Thursday clinched a quarter-final spot for the French side, as although Worcester matched their 25-point tally Perpignan the French outfit held the edge with a superior try count in their head-to-head matches.

Winger Josh Drauniniu started the rout after just four minutes, and he aptly also sealed the match when he scored his second try in stoppage time at the end of the 80 minutes.

Santi Salas crossed for the visitors after ten minutes and Deccie Cusack's conversion and subsequent penalty actually kept it close at 12-10 before Worcester started to ease away.

Errie Claassens and Nikki Walker both scored two tries, whilst Jake Abbott, Blair Cowan, Aleki Lutui also Ben Howard crossed to secure another emphatic win in the pool even though it proved to be not enough to get the Warriors through.
