A number of Saturday's games have had to be postponed due to the wet weather.

Stevenage and Notts County both hoped to close the gap on the League One play-off places but their match at Broadhall Way has been called off.

"Details of rearrangements for this tie, as well as the away game with Brentford which was called off last weekend, will be announced in due course," read a Stevenage statement.

Colchester United's game with Swindon Town in the third tier of English football has also been postponed.

In League Two, table-topping Gillingham's game with Northampton Town at Priestfield Stadium has fallen to a waterlogged pitch.

Aldershot Town would have been looking for three points at home against Torquay United as they seek to escape the relegation zone but rain has also forced a postponement.

Bristol Rovers' trip to high-flying Cheltenham Town is also off.

Manchester United's Premier League fixture against West Bromwich Albion, and Nottingham Forest's Championship game with Crystal Palace - in front of watching new boss Alex McLeish - both survived afternoon pitch inspections.
