Haydock: Meeting has passed the inspection

Sky Bet

This afternoon's meeting at Haydock has passed an early-morning inspection and goes ahead as planned.

Officials on Merseyside gave the jumps fixture the go-ahead following just three millimetres of overnight rain.

The going is heavy.

Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: "There's more rain to come - around 15mm - but we will make a start and hope to complete the meeting.

"Hopefully we'll be OK."
