England bowler James Anderson already has one eye on next year's Ashes after returning home following their triumphant series success in India.

Andy Flower's side lost the first Test by nine wickets, but claimed the subsequent two before drawing the fourth and final Test to clinch the series.

Confidence is now high ahead of the visit of Australia next summer with the first of the Ashes Tests starting at Trent Bridge in July.

Lancashire seamer Anderson will be one of England's go-to bowlers for the series, but he is not looking too far ahead of their upcoming games - starting with a tour of New Zealand in February.

"There's always an eye on the Ashes when it's less than six months away," he told Sky Sports.

"The guys are going back to India for the one-day series and then we've got a tough tour to New Zealand first.

"We've got to worry about the present rather than the future too much."

England captain Alastair Cook led the way in India while there were also notable contributions from the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell.

However, Anderson believes it was a team effort, insisting they would not have been able to be successful without everyone helping the cause.

He added: "It's difficult to single anyone out. Everyone has had to chip in at some stage of the trip.

"You don't win in places like India without everyone contributing. I think we've all done a great job."
