KFC Big Bash: Brisbane Heat defeat Adelaide Strikers in final-ball thriller

Wicketkeeper Chris Hartley hit a boundary off the final ball of the match to hand Brisbane Heat a dramatic three-wicket victory over Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash.
The outcome of the match hung in the balance with Brisbane requiring three runs for victory off Gary Putland's last delivery, however Hartley held his nerve by lashing a full toss over cover.
Fielder Callum Ferguson, who had earlier top-scored with 52 in Adelaide's 185-8, raced around from point and appeared to have cut the ball off in time, however replays, much to his amazement, proved otherwise.
It was a thrilling end to a match which had swung in both team's favour during the run-chase.
Brisbane opener Luke Pomersbach put Heat ahead of the required-rate with a swashbuckling 65 off 39 balls, however his dismissal sparked a mid-order collapse.
The visitors, seemingly cruising on 113-2, lost big-hitters Pomersbach, Thisara Perera and Dan Christian in quick succession, but Ben Cutting kept them in touch with back-to-back sixes off Kieron Pollard.
Pollard got his revenge in fortuitous fashion when diverting the ball back on to the stumps at the non-striker's end via his heel with Cutting stranded.
But Chris Lynn, Peter Forrest and Hartley kept Heat in touch, before the latter sealed victory.
Ferguson's half-century earlier in the match was the cornerstone in Adelaide's competitive total.
His innings of 52 included three boundaries and three sixes, while Pollard provided the fireworks down the order with an explosive 48 from just 23 balls.
