Robin Shroot was on target again as Stevenage limbered up for Saturday's visit of Crawley with a practice match against Watford.

The midfielder, who has scored six goals this season despite regularly starting on the bench, hit the net with a low finish after he was set up by summer signing Matt Ball.

Two trialists were also on target for Stevenage, but Watford eventually ran out 4-3 winners.

Former MLS defender Andy Iro, who is currently on loan at Barnet, returned to Boro to play at the back while Darius Charles started at right-back.

Charles could be asked to fill in on the right at the weekend after David Gray went off injured against Hartlepool last Saturday.
