Di Canio: Would've preferred a draw

Paolo Di Canio felt his Swindon side deserved at least a point at Notts County after dominating possession for much of the game.

As it was, the Robins were beaten 1-0 at Meadow Lane by a Alan Judge strike in the first half.

Di Canio's side piled on the pressure and their best chance fell to James Collins after 22 minutes but his effort from Raffaele De Vita's cross was turned on to the post by goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski

"I am disappointed as obviously we have dominated for most parts of the game," said the Italian. "We have conceded away one shot from 30 yards and one other attempt in the whole game. We created a minimum of five or six clear chances and probably 20 potential chances where poor delivery or decisions have cost us.

"I am a top manager and I said at this time last year that we would win the league but this year I tell everyone that we are a middle to low table team.

"We showed though that we won't sink as we lost only 1-0 and my job is clear on the field what we are trying to do. We can have a comfortable season but without the dream. If we lose the players get down and it is difficult to keep them up but that is my job."
