Joe Simpson: Missed out on England selection last week

England and Wasps scrum-half Joe Simpson is set for a month on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Wasps had feared the 24-year-old would require surgery on the injury he suffered during Wasps' Aviva Premiership win over London Welsh three days ago.

But Wasps director of rugby was happy to report that no operation is necessary, although Simpson will be sidelined for up to a month.

"Thankfully it doesn't look like it needs an operation," said Young.

"At the moment he is looking at around three-four weeks of rehab, which is much better than we first thought."

The scrum-half, who went to the World Cup with England last year, missed out on selection for England's squad for the autumn internationals last week.
