Steve Finn: Thigh strain not serious
England seamer Steve Finn has been ruled out of the rest of the warm-up match against India A but concerns over his thigh strain have been played down.
The Middlesex paceman underwent scans on Tuesday on the injury he sustained in the first hour of the tour opener in Mumbai.
While the scans showed the injury is not serious, the 23-year-old will play no further part in this match and is unlikely to feature against a Mumbai XI in the second warm-up match starting on Saturday.
However, Finn will get a chance to prove his fitness in a final warm-up match against Haryana ahead of the first Test in Ahmedabad from 15 November.
"Steven Finn has been ruled out of the remainder of the three-day game with a right thigh strain," England team spokesperson Rhian Evans said.
"He will be assessed over the next couple of days to determine a rehabilitation programme."
