Dan Bailey: kicked two fourth-quarter field goals to see off the Carolina Panthers
Dan Bailey kicked four field goals and Tony Romo threw for 227 yards and a touchdown as Dallas held on for a 19-14 win over the Carolina Panthers.
With his team 14-13 behind, Romo led the Cowboys into field goal range with a 10-play, 44-yard drive, allowing Bailey to hit from 28 yards out, sealing Dallas' ninth consecutive regular-season win over the Panthers.
Bailey added three further points thanks to a 38-yarder with 53 seconds remaining and with no timeouts left, Carolina were unable to find a game-winning touchdown in the closing stages.
Miles Austin had five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown as Dallas bounced back from last week's tough 31-29 loss to Baltimore.
Cam Newton finished 21 of 37 for 233 yards with one touchdown and an early interception - for the fourth time in six games this season Carolina's offense failed to score 15 or more points.
The Cowboys trailed 7-3 at half-time, but took control after Austin beat rookie cornerback Josh Norman for a 36-yard touchdown pass from Romo.
Changing to a no-huddle offense in the fourth quarter, Carolina quickly moved 75 yards on nine plays and Mike Tolbert gave them a 14-13 lead with a two-yard plunge.
However, this time Dallas didn't come up short in the closing stages, meaning they are now 3-3 for the season and a game back of the New York Giants in the NFC East.
